Chinatown parade 2010: Snapshots
The parade was an adrenaline rush from start to finish with kites flying above our heads, the beat of the NYU Korean drums pulsating through our bodies, and Asian LGBTQ of all ages proudly strutting across Canal Street.

Lunar New Year Parade: A Historic Event
Dear friends,
We are days away from the first-ever Asian LGBTQ contingent in NYC’s Chinatown Lunar New Year Parade!!
We need you, your friends & family to come fly our colorful fish kites, hold banners, pass out beautiful postcards & pens, serve as marshals/security, or just be part of our historic contingent. If you cannot march with us, we still really need you to be an enthusiastic member of the crowd/cheerleader and join us for food afterwards!
(*The NYU Korean Drumming team is coaching a group of us to drum for the parade!!! :D)

DowneTime January 2010 Meeting
Friend Request: Accept or Reject?
Whether it’s age, personality, smarts, or dare we say it, appearance, the decision to accept a friend into our lives is almost like picking a date, but on a more frequent basis. We’re also known to collect one too many friends (re: Facebook). Who do you really want to have in your life? And who can you share your crazy lovable quirks that you can’t with someone else, beyond the casual remarks (heyyy, wat up!!, HAPPY B-DAY!!)? These are one of several questions to ponder as we explore who you choose to share your deepest and silliest stories.
To kick off the new year at DowneTime, you’ll be casting a search for friends - and maybe making a few new friends too!
When: Wednesday, September 16th from 8:00-9:30 pm
