[Message from APICHA's Project Reach]
Thursday, February 2, 2012 @ APICHA, 7pm-9pm
With the New Year comes New Year’s resolutions, and for a lot of folks, that means getting active and working out. Don’t just throw yourself blindly on some machines expecting results. Without the right training and form, you might not be getting the most out of your workout, or worse yet, putting yourself at risk for injury and strain. Christine will walk us through an interactive session, and will focus on setting goals that are appropriate and attainable. You will gain techniques to keep you safe and healthy while you work out. Come prepared to move, as we’ll be learning and performing some stretches and exercises. We’ll provide the water and the protein.
Trainer: Christine Solidum
Christine Solidum is a personal trainer at Crunch Gym, certified by the National Association of Sports Medicine. A lifelong athlete and former high school track star, Christine is focused on keeping spirits high so that clients can live up to their fullest potential.
Presented as part of Project Connect’s “A Healthier Me!” Workshop series. Project Connect is a program created by APICHA to improve health for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, and intersex (LGBTQI) Asian & Pacific Islander communities. All A Healthier Me! Skills Workshops are tailored for LGBTQI A&PI and are FREE. Allies are welcome to join. Refreshments will be provided.
PLEASE RSVP to csolidum@apicha.org so that we can expect you!
