This Sunday GAPIMNY is venturing to Flushing! Flushing has been all the rage recently in the food world and we’re following in the footsteps of one of the most straight talking chefs — Anthony Bourdain. We’ll be visiting, the now widely popular, Golden Shopping Mall and then finish the meal with the best Taiwanese shaved iced in New York.

Location: Meeting on the south east corner of Roosevelt and Mainstreet (by Old Navy)

GAPIMNY looking for stories about racism at gay clubs

Dear Community Members,

Over the past few months, we at GAPIMNY have heard an increasing
number of stories about gay Asian/Pacific Islander men being barred
from entering certain clubs in NYC.
…
We are concerned that these actions reflect racist policies within
clubs — policies that not only discriminate against gay Asian/Pacific
Islanders but other queer and trans people of color, too.

And we want to do something about it.

But first, we’d like to learn more about these incidents so that we
can move to next steps in addressing this issue.

Please help us by providing your story or a friend’s story regarding
being denied access to a club that in any way seems unwarranted.
