TITLE: PersuAsian Co-Chair

RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to attending Steering Committee meetings, overseeing the creating, editing, publishing, distributing and disseminating of the newsletter.

WHEN DID YOU JOIN GAPIMNY? I started attending meetings in February 2004, and joined the Steering Committee in January 2005.

WHY DO YOU CONTINUE TO WORK IN GAPIMNY? I'm involved because of the chance to work on issues that are central to my identity, and because I love feeling connected to a broader movement for social justice.  But I keep coming back because of the people involved with GAPIMNY, who're fun, supportive, and fiercely dedicated to working in their community.  They crack me up with their queer API selves.

LIKES: Laughing loudly and often inappropriately, singing cheesy love ballads in a noraebang, book shopping, watching inordinate amounts of TV, K-pop.  And yes, cereal.  I love cereal.

DISLIKES: Waking up before 1 PM on weekends.
