Join us for our Annual Thanksgiving Party!

There’s no doubt that this year has had its fair share of hurdles. But in the spirit of Thanksgiving, GAPIMNY wants to celebrate and be thankful for the great community of friends that we have today, with our annual Thanksgiving Party! Come celebrate the season with delicious home cooked meal by our perennial chef extraordinaire, Aaron Yap, good company, and entertaining activities. Doors open at 6pm and dinner will be served at 7pm.
This year in light of the recent string of publicity surrounding gay teen suicide, we’re asking that you consider rounding up your $15 cover to $20, so that we can pool our resources together for a gift to the Trevor Project, a suicide hotline for gay teens nationwide.

Over the past few months, we at GAPIMNY have heard an increasing
number of stories about gay Asian/Pacific Islander men being barred
from entering certain clubs in NYC.
…
We are concerned that these actions reflect racist policies within
clubs — policies that not only discriminate against gay Asian/Pacific
Islanders but other queer and trans people of color, too.
And we want to do something about it.
But first, we’d like to learn more about these incidents so that we
can move to next steps in addressing this issue.
Please help us by providing your story or a friend’s story regarding
being denied access to a club that in any way seems unwarranted.

Maybe you just wish you could watch hot Asian boys move their hips. Or maybe you just need a lil’ help getting that beach body.
If this sounds like you, then come to the 1st ever Downetime Dance Workshop, led by a few of our very own members! We’ll start off with stretching and core-strengthening exercises. Then, we’ll go over some of the basics of street dance that’ll help you become a better dancer. And lastly, we’ll teach a short fun routine. This is an absolute beginner class so come with an open mind (and some work-out clothes) and you’ll be fine. Trust us. This workshop is open to GAPIMNY as well.

Sing your heart out in this Glee-tastic evening as we kickoff our 20th Anniversary celebration with song. All are invited whether you’re singing a solo, premiering your new boy band, or side stepping as a back up dancer. So all you “Single Ladies” “Express Yourself,” show us “What a Girl Wants,” and show your “True Colors” as we celebrate pre-Pride in honor of that “Proud Mary” in you.
