ALP’s 10th Annual FREE Community Outing & Bar-B-Q for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual,
Two-Spirit, Trans & Gender Non-Conforming People of Color & Allies. We are
sending a special call out to LGBTSTGNC POC organizations, all are welcomed to
Co-organize and co sponsor!  All LGBTSTGNC ally orgs can show their support by
promoting and co-sponsorship as well.
Directions to Picnic site:

The Picnic will be held in Prospect Park, near the Picnic House, in Long Meadow
North (the Picnic House is listed on all park maps). The entrance to Long
Meadow North is on Prospect Park West & 5th Street.  There are 2 ways to get
there.

Take the F train to the 7th Ave./9th St. Station.  Walk up 9th Street to
Prospect Park West and turn left.  Walk down Prospect Park West to the 5th St.
park entrance.
OR

Take the 2 or 3 train to Grand Army Plaza.  When facing the park, Prospect Park
West is on the right side of the park.  Walk down Prospect Park West to the 5th
St. entrance.  Expect to walk 6-7 blocks.

Go through the 5th Street park entrance and follow the chalk arrows on the
pavement to the picnic site.

GAPIMNY heads to JONES BEACH for surf ‘n sand ‘n sunshine, SUNDAY, JULY 16

This year we’re kicking off our GAPIMNY beach season a month earlier than usual, to take fuller advantage of prime cruising
time. The boys of GAPIMNY are ready to hit the waves, and invite everyone to come along! Bring your packed lunch,
refreshments, blankets and towels, shades and sunscreen, and of course, your itsy bitsy teeny weeny bikini! What’s
a GAPIMNY beach trip without a skimpy tan line to titillate the eye?

As in years past, we’ll be organizing a meeting party to gather next Sunday morning at Penn Station and ride together on the L.I.R.R.
If you’d rather come later, please follow the train, bus and driving directions shown below. Come find us on the far eastern
end of the beach, beyond LOT 6 (that’s the gay end for you Jones newbies). If you’re driving, we suggest you arrive early,
as parking spots in Lot 6 quickly fill up on a sunny day.

MEETING TIME at PENN STATION: SUNDAY, JULY 16, 10:15 AM
Come find Social Co-Chair Conrad in front of the Long Island Rail Road main ticket booths at 34th St. Penn Station (this is across from the McDonalds).
We will catch the 10:34 AM train to Freeport, and transfer to the Jones Beach N88 Bus at 11:28 AM.
