What are the issues queer Asian & Pacific Islander community face in 2009? How will the future policies of the president-elect Obama affect our community? What can we do individually to help support our community? Come to our annual QAPI Townhall meeting to learn more about our current community issues, share your thoughts and ideas, and learn how you can help our community to be stronger, safer, and healthier. Representatives from Audre Lorde Project, APICHA, Dari Project, GAPIMNY, NQAPIA, Q-WAVE and SALGA will be there to share their insights on what will be in store for 2009!

In addition, GAPIMNY will be holding our annual steering committee election. Take part in our election, and meet the newest steering committee members of GAPIMNY!

Date & Time: Friday, Jan. 16th from 8-10PM
Location: The LGBT Center, 208 W. 13th St. between 7th& 8th Ave.
Light refreshments will be provided

Skating with the *stars*
Glide, spin, hold on to the rails with all your might or do the triple axel.
Remember we’re all here to have fun. Come and join us as we ring in the new
year on the rink with fellow friends.

Bring a lock or be prepared to pay for lock rental.

Where: Bryant Park
Meet at the fountain, located on the west side of the park.
When: Thursday, Jan. 8th, 7:30pm (Or earlier if you can. There will likely be a line.)
Cost: Rental skates cost is $12, but admission is free.

Come join GAPIMNY for the first Sunday brunch of 2009! As usual, there will be good food, and good company.
